Posted by:carlosyts, September - 16 - 2019

If you’ve heard about the Otay Tijuana airport bridge that connects you directly to San Diego, you may have many questions about it. That bridge is the Cross Border Xpress (CBX) and here we’ll talk about it and how it works in general.

The San Diego-Tijuana connection

The Cross Border Xpress (CBX) started working in 2015 with the intention of connecting one of the most visited borders around the world: the shared border of San Diego and Tijuana. Of course, there were already two ports of entry that connected these cities, but there’s a difference between them and the CBX.

The express bridge is at the Tijuana International Airport; arrivals from any other city or country can cross directly to San Diego by paying the set fee and presenting the appropriate documents.

Cross Border Xpress Shuttle in the US: how does it work?
Posted by:carlosyts, September - 02 - 2019

Crossing the border between San Diego and Tijuana has become easier over the years. If you plan to use the Cross Border Xpress Shuttle, let us tell you how it works.

Convenient transportation

The CBX is a great alternative for people who need to cross from the US to Mexico (or vice versa) to catch a flight, among other things. It is a project that improves each year to provide the necessary solutions for users. Now, if you are in the US and want to use the CBX to get to Tijuana Airport, the shuttle is a convenient means of transportation.

If you’re flying, leaving your car at the airport may not be the best solution; rates from parking lots can be high and they increase each day. That’s why CBX shuttle is a good option. But how does it work?

Shuttle from LA

CBX address is the following: 2745 Otay Pacific Drive, San Diego, CA 92154. The shuttle leaves from Los Angeles at this pickup point: 2470 E Florence Ave. Huntington Park, CA. 90255. If you’re coming from Mexico and cross through the CBX, you can also use the shuttle to San Ysidro, San Diego and Los Angeles.

Rates from CBX to:

  • San Ysidro

Cost: $6 USD
Stops: San Ysidro Bus Station and Las Americas Premium Outlets

  • San Diego

Cost: $11 USD
Stops: Downtown San Diego Santa Fe Station and SD RCC
Upon request: San Diego Airport & rental car center

  • Los Angeles

Santa Ana, Anaheim, Huntington Park, Downtown LA and East LA

You can check the route and ETA visiting CBX official website, but you should also schedule a trip and ask for more information by calling +1 (619) 952-9846.

Other options

Besides the CBX shuttle, there are other transportation options that you should keep in mind. Car rental, taxis and rideshare apps are some of the alternatives. But there is also another one that will meet any of your requirements.

YTS Transport is a transportation service that works in San Diego and Tijuana. You can cross the border, go to your medical appointment, visit Baja California and, of course, arrive to the CBX.

Whether you decide to use the Cross Border Xpress Shuttle, a taxi or the great service of YTS Transport, we hope you have a nice ride!

Visiting San Diego: Cross Border Xpress car rental options
Posted by:carlosyts, August - 01 - 2019

Some years ago, crossing the border was not that easy. Nowadays, if you fly to Tijuana and need to be in San Diego right away, you can do it. How? Simply by crossing a bridge. Perhaps you’ve heard of it before; so, if you’re searching for Cross Border Xpress car rental options, let us help.

Cross Border Xpress: What’s that?

Around four years ago, the joint border of Tijuana and San Diego came together to work towards a great solution: a faster and better way to cross from Mexico to the US. That’s how the Cross Border Xpress (CBX) was built. It consists of a bridge that connects both cities, from Tijuana’s Airport to a terminal in San Diego.

If you arrive to Tijuana, don’t get out of the airport! The CBX saves you from traveling across the city to get to the border. The best thing is that it works both ways: from the airport in Tijuana to the terminal in San Diego and vice versa.

Car rental options

Whether you arrive to Tijuana or San Diego, after using the CBX you will need one thing: a means of transportation. This is the moment when you can stop to decide what you need. A regular car with A/C and space for your bags or a wide SUV with near-floor access? Sure, car rentals will try to meet these needs and more.

Nonetheless, renting a car requires you to drive it. What if we told you there is a better choice and that you don’t have to drive? Imagine this: after a flight you are tired and want to rest, so you get to the border and get in a car that will drive you where you need to go. This is possible by riding with YTS Transport.

YTS and car rentals

Car rentals aren’t bad; they’re actually a great service, but it depends on the type of trip you want to have. With YTS Transport you don’t need to worry about anything, since there will be a private driver waiting for you at the appointed place and time.

YTS Transport’s fleet has all the features and is equipped with everything you need. They won’t try to meet your expectations: they definitely will. It doesn’t matter if you come to Tijuana or San Diego for business, medical treatment or vacations, the experience will be pleasant.

In a nutshell: if you’ll be using the Cross Border Xpress bridge and aim for privacy, comfort, and great service, YTS Transport is the best choice for you. Contact us and book your ride!
